Our first fixer-upper!

I posted about this almost a year ago when we had first purchased a fixer upper house and I am happy to report that it is complete and sold! We put the house up on the market in April and it sold pretty quickly. Sure, it took a little longer to complete it than we had originally planned but trust me when I say this house needed a ton of work!! We gutted (okay not really me since I got pregnant in the middle of it and wasn't much help after that - ha!) the entire house. Walls were removed, windows, doors replaced, wallpaper removed, new flooring, a whole new kitchen and complete landscaping. It was a house in foreclosure when we had purchased it and they had left their big dogs in the house to destroy it and they did. I can still remember the smell the first time we walked in... gross... but my dad was 100% convinced it had potential and he was right. Derek & I were so impressed with how it turned out and I am impressed at how much Derek learned during this renovation (I have given him a honey do list for our house now!). Here are a few before/after pics (more before pictures on our older post - click here)...
