My parents bird, Jody, passed away a few weeks ago. She was a beautiful Sun Conure Parrot and such a funny bird. We’ve had her since I was 14 so losing her was sad (21 years old!) and having to explain death to Addison was confusing & complicated. Addison loved feeding her snacks, petting her and wanted so badly for Jody to sit on her shoulder (Jody did not like kids). Their house was so quiet without Jody :-(So about a week ago, my parents went and adopted a cute dog named Lily! She has been wonderful with the kids and Addison & her are already best buddies. They also got a cockatiel bird, Chuck, that will actually sit on Addi’s shoulders which makes Addison SO happy :-) Here are a few pics of the new pets.
