My parents got a new Sun Conure Parrot (after Jody passed away) last year. Addison dreamed of holding Jody but that bird did NOT like kids at all. So in July when they got Jade as a baby, she was so happy to be able to put her on her shoulder. Now, Reagan wants in on all this too! Every morning when I drop her off, she checks the cage for Jade and then runs over to my mom to find out if the bird is on her. Jade (and Jody did too) likes to go down in shirts where it is nice and warm so Reagan runs around all day putting stuffed animals and items in her shirt. Here is a picture from January of both girls - Addison with the real bird and Reagan with the pretend bird in her shirt. This weekend, Reagan got to hold the real bird on her shoulder! How exciting!! Now there will be fights every day over who gets to hold the bird...
