So then this past weekend, she decided it was time to try climbing out of her crib. Derek heard an "ut oh" over the monitor followed by some crying and he met her on her way out of her room as he was going in to check on her. That's a pretty big drop off! So then after finding her wandering through the house a couple times last night (she is teething again!), we made the decision to turn her crib into a big girl bed (which is really just one rail of the crib removed). Tonight after work, Grams & Papa dropped her off at our house so we surprised her with the new look of her bed. She was SO excited! She ran and got in it and started jumping up and down. I don't think she realizes it is the exact same bed :-) She pretended to go night-night a few times, bounced some more and was just a bundle of energy the rest of the night. I just put her down to sleep 20 minutes ago and so far, so good! (she is sound asleep!). Could this just be beginners luck?!? I was expecting to spend at least 45 minutes putting her back in it.... guess she really does love the bed! It's moments like these that make me so proud watching her grow up but yet make me so sad to know my baby girl is no longer a baby.
