Whoops! It’s been a while since I’ve updated this. It’s just busy around here with a toddler! She is 18 months old now which I still can’t believe. We just went to the doc for her checkup and she is 24 lbs and 34 inches tall. Still off the charts on her height. She isn’t much of a talker but understands everything we say, still uses some of her sign language and if she needs something she just pulls our finger until we follow and shows us what she wants (normally it’s a specific food, crayons or she is trying to tell us the DVD is over and she is wanting it restarted) and if she is hungry, she’ll just crawl up into her highchair and sit there waiting to be fed. We have known since she came into this world that she is much more of a thinker than a talker so this doesn’t surprise us at all. She is always deep in thought and planning her next move :-)Her new favorite things to do all cause my heart to race but she loves every minute of it – like going down her slide head first and spinning in circles with her eyes closed and then walking with her eyes closed when she can barely stand because she’s so dizzy. She is also starting to climb more (which I didn't think was possible!) but our barstools, our dining chairs, Gram’s cabinets have been her lastest feats and she thinks it’s fun to stand up on her rocking horse and rock (or surf as I call it). The kid is crazy!
She also LOVES brushing her teeth (again, thanks to Barney and his songs!). My friend Stacie gave her an awesome stool a while ago that she LOVES to carry over to the sinks now and get up there and start brushing away. This stool also allows her to reach the medicine cabinet doors and everything we have pushed back on the counter (gee thanks Stacie! ha!).Addison, Grams and I will be leaving next week for a trip to California to see her great grandmother, some of her cousins and lots of our friends (some who haven’t seen her since she was 5 months old and some that have never met her)! We are hoping the trip will go smoothly and she will enjoy it.
