The Chisam Family: Silver Dollar City

A ride Reagan enjoyed!! It bored Addison.

After years of begging to go on a real roller coaster, Addison finally got her wish! We went out to see Poppi and Grammy in Arkansas last month (more posts to come on that!) and they took us all to Silver Dollar City - a theme park by Branson, Missouri. It was SO MUCH FUN! We went on a few kiddie rides before we exposed Addison to the roller coasters and since she was 42", she was able to go on 2 of the 3 big ones. We immediately got in line for the one called "Powder Keg" not thinking to watch it first, and off we went! It started with us going 0-60 in 2..5 seconds and had more HUGE drops than I have ever seen on a coaster. I looked back about half way through the ride and she was completely terrified. There is nothing I could do or Derek could do (he was sitting next to her) to comfort her and we were in for another, larger, drop ahead. I have never screamed so much on a ride so that tells me just how scary it was. She didn't want to ride it again but did go on the other one. She said the second one was much more fun and that she was a little scared on the first one! Ha ha ha. A little?? More like terrified for her life!

Reagan on the other hand is NOT a daredevil. She cried on almost all of the rides we dared to take her on and only enjoyed the ladybugs, the merry go round and the teacups. She hated the jumping frogs, the caterpillar, the swinging boat, and the water rides. All in all, it was a fun filled day and we were so glad they took us there!
