| At the Emergency Room. They forgot to bring us meds to make her feel better but luckily she slept most of the time. |
I know it's just mean posting these pictures but lordy we have been through hell this past week with Addison being sick and its one of those memories you want to keep, even if it was a bad memory. After talking to our pediatrician almost every day, going to the ER, going to see the pediatrician, getting lab work done... we are still left with no answers as to what was wrong with her all this week. We do know everything she didn't have since they were ruling things out one at a time... she didn't have Strep, she didn't have Meningitis, she didn't have Kawasaki disease, etc. Pretty much she just had a continuous high fever that brought her down (and sicknesses don't ever slow her down). She laid on the couch for 5 days crying, whining, complaining of everything hurting (including behind her knee), she couldn't walk, she couldn't sit up, she could NOT sleep during the night (which meant we also couldn't sleep at night), she wouldn't eat and she was just in absolute misery. It just reminded us how helpless we are as parents when you child is sick and how you just want to take all of that pain away from them. Luckily she woke up today a new kid saying "I'm better!". Thank goodness.

| First time having blood tests done. The doctor gave her numbing cream and it was AH-MAZING! She had no idea they stuck her with a needle. |
PS - Looking at these pictures is just breaking my heart all over again! She was in so much pain! Yet there I was still snapping away with my camera :-)
